If you think your jobs is to put butts in seats, your job ends the second that your hire shows up for work. But that’s old world thinking. We live in a world in which we are perpetually recruiting, not to join a company, but to be engaged at work, to join a project, to not dig ones heels in to slow progress and change.

So maybe your abilities are recruiters have impacts far outside the limitations of “putting butts in seats.” Because if recruiting never stops, a recruiter may be the new power in any company.
